Dr. Kristin Ingram is the Medical Director at the Animal Hospital of North Charleston.

She was born in Murray, KY, and spent most of her childhood in southwestern and northern Virginia. Her father was born and raised in North Charleston, and she is a 4th generation Bishop England graduate, so she has always considered her beloved Charleston, SC, home. Growing up next door to a veterinarian and an entomologist, she was destined to go into a scientific field, and veterinary medicine became her dream. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Virginia Tech, graduating in 2004. She worked as a veterinary technician for a number of years after college, and also worked as a research assistant with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, under the guidance of the State Wildlife Veterinarian. She journeyed to the small island of St. Kitts to complete her DVM at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and while there also had the opportunity to participate in leatherback sea turtle research and sea turtle rehabilitation. She graduated from Ross University in September 2012, after completing her clinical year at Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine.

She and her husband Jay have been married for 15 years, and they have two daughters and four dogs. She loves spending time with her family, reading, and watching college football (GO HOKIES!!!)!
